I explain to my 6 yo as I take the clippers to him. I bought clippers just the other day for hubby (since he takes a #3 and it's way easy for me to do it) and before doing hubby, I experimented on the 3yo. Used a #4, and it's way short, but cute. Ask Will when he got home on Monday if he wanted his that short, and he didn't. Well he somehow got this brilliant idea to cut his bangs just a little while ago, and I had no choice but to cut his hair... all of it, using the #4. It's way short now too, and it still looks like he cut his bangs. He did do a pretty good job going straight across though, so that's something. He also took chunks out of the back and I cannot fix that...
Jake of course must've seen this behavior, because I look down at him and he has swatches missing out of his hair as well, right there in the front, and I just cannot bring myself to shave the poor kid practically bald to make it not look so bad.
Well, at least these cuts will grow out, and at least it's not MY hair!!!

What's going on here Brie and Pokychick? Three kids in a week have cut their own hair! I think there's a conspiracy going on with them.
I shave my son's hair with a 1/4 in. blade. Soooo cute! He's a little man!

Yea...you had said that in your post.
Mini me fortunately only got her bangs. She just grew out her bob this year and I was glad to see that it was only the bangs. However, no matter how you brush them...chuncks of hair is still missing.
