I was surprised yesterday to learn that after my run I had exceeded the number of miles I had run in all of 2001. I think I'm on target to break the mileage goal I had set for myself for this year.
How's everyone else doing?

I was just thinking about starting a thread like this sense this is the beginning of the 4th qtr.
I'm way behind on my running mileage goals. 2 fairly serious injuries are to blame for that. I may be at 1000 miles right now. I deleted my running logs a while back so I'm not too sure.
I am waaaaaay ahead of where I though I would be riding-wise. I think I'm pushing the 4,500 mile mark. Again, I don't have exact totals.

considering I ran zero miles last year, it's not that big an acheivement

I didn't start running until august of last year, so last year don't count for much. I'm around 600 miles this year so far. I'm happy with that.

It's a HUGE accomplishment to go from zero miles to 400+ miles!

I am way behind last years mileage. This time last year I was well into marathon training mode. This year I have cut back my mileage and incorporated cycling into the mix, so I will actually have more miles in total but less of it from running.

I've run about 12 miles this year.
Ahead of schedule actually 
Although I was pregnant until a month ago, I think this is good.

i was planning on 750 for this year
at 575. looks like i will likely get about 900 in
wish it was a thousand but i had two months with < 35 miles total

my goal was to have 1/2 as much bike miles as running.....I was okay in the summer months, but that's because my running was low......now I'm upping my running and there is no biking so I will be lucky to have 1/4. I'm well over 2k for running and about 750 biking. oh well!

outside of training for a specific sport, this is the longest i've be a runner in my life.
when i started i had no set goals
But now my goal right is to improve my weekly mileage safely and I want to be able to remain consistent with my running over the colder months this winter.

I didn't set any specific goal for this year other then to run more miles then in 2001. I've already accomplished that goal and should end the year with about 1600 miles under my belt for 2002.
