When is your next race and what distance? What's your goal? Are you training for it differently than you've trained in the past?
I have a half marathon in St. Louis in a couple weeks, but it's a tune up race for the Columbus marathon. I've been doing speedwork, which I've never done before... so we'll see how that works!

I'm considering doing the Run the Reagan half marathon. It's super close to my house and I ran it as my first (and only) half marathon last year.
It's Oct. 13th.
I plan on training differently this year by actually being able to run the distance! Last year I'd never been to a running website and didn't have a clue. I did a couple of longish runs (maybe 10 miles) and decided that was good enough. I ran the whole way last year except for maybe 100 yds. of uphill.
Goal for this year is between 1:40 and 1:45 which I think is do-able.

I was going to do the Fox Cities half at the end of September but the foot injury has put an end to that. I am now looking at doing a 8 or 10k in October. I need to get my "sea legs" back and then I will be good to go...

Planning on doing the Indianapolis Marathon on October 19th. Really looking forward to it since I haven't done a marathon in 5 years and haven't really trained (until this year) for about 4 years. Also, it's in my old neighborhood!
I'm also planning the TB Marathon in January. So I might do a couple of 10k's and possibly a half before then.
Goal for Indpls is sub-4. After that, sub-3:30.

i'm doing a 5K (paltry compared to the other posts in this thread, but ....) on the 28th - somehow affiliated with run for a cure - it also is in my backyard practically which is such a bonus.
Cappy may also run in it......

I may try to do a 5k in December.
Won't be doing much different this time, but plan to begin speedwork shortly after if all goes well.

Twin Cities Marathon!
19 days to go and counting.
Best prepared I have ever felt going into a marathon. I'm stronger, better conditioned, and I think a little quicker too!
A PR is not out of the question!

Good luck Joe! If you need a sponsor for the race let me know
It looks like I have picked my next race. Oct 5, Mayville Audubon days 5 mile. I really enjoyed the 5 miler in ran in August and the scenery on this one should be outstanding. Not to mention this may be a good Mafia meet. Shelf, RWS, Batjac, anyone else???
