I'd have to be a electricity-less, hermit, gardening vegan to make it down to the 4 acres / 1 planet mark.

seems quite extreme doesn't it.

So if we went more Vegan, wouldn't more farms have to be created to "feed" the demand, which in turn would use more fertilizers....round and round and round.

I have read that cattle feed far less people per acre used to raise them by a long shot than any crop. Currently a lot of beef is imported from South America where cattle are being raised in pastures that were formerly forests. I think that is what that figure is trying to account for.

that said, I still eat beef

I have heard the same regarding beef. I know that buying fruits and veggies locally really makes a big difference too.

They don't take into account that despite eating a lot of meat well over half of what they assume is beef is actually venison or fish. So they can bite me! Mad

Occasionally if I'm sharing them with non-game eaters I'll marinade them in Italian salad dressing for a couple of hours. We made them on the grill in Canada one year after marinading them and had a full blooded Ojibway Indian and his sister swear to us they werent' eating venison - a staple in their diet.

21, but when I looked at it closely, I only got a 3 for mobility. My goods & services were high.

My current commute made my mobility pretty low.
What's with the question about whether or not I have about the same/more/less garbage as my neighbors? What if all my neighbors had three garbage cans and used them up every week?

IF EVERYONE LIVED LIKE YOU, WE WOULD NEED 3.6 PLANETS.
