Interval at a track, there's something about running fast and being near a football field.

These days almost every run is a long run ... it's rare I run less than 6.5 and those are easy days. I am a huge fan of hills. Because they remind me of NYC, because of the great sense of accomplishment, and because they're half of every route I run. Even my long runs have a lot of hills. No workout has done more for me than hills.

It's a toss up between hills & long runs. I like the chance to be alone for the extended periods of time that my long runs afforded me.
But there's no feeling like conquering a few nasty hills and making your calves scream in agony.

Granted my long run is only 6 miles right now but when I complete them I feel better.
It is to d@mn hot to do any real speedwork so most of my training runs are all at the same pace.
