i was stopped last night by the local Fox News last night on my way home. Apprently a well known female runner was hit before dawn yesterday and only had some reflective material on her shoes.

They put me on live TV for the 6-7 o-clock news to show off a high visibilty outfit. i high intensity reflective vest with 16 LED lights imbedded. my helmet also has a LED headlamp too.

Jogger Remembered

(AP) -- An avid amateur runner in the Atlanta area has been struck and killed by a car about a mile from her home. Forty-three-year-old Patricia Foell was killed yesterday on a run before dawn. Foell had clocked some of the fastest 5-K, 10-K and marathon times for her age group in the Atlanta area. She had competed in more than 15 marathons. News of her death spread quickly among the metro area's competitive runners. DeKalb County police spokesman Cory Hughes says Foell apparently was trying to cross a busy intersection at North Decatur Road before 6 am when she was hit by a Toyota Camry. Hughes says the driver stopped and is cooperating with police. He says no charges have been filed. Hughes say Foell was not wearing a reflective vest. Foell -- the mother of two elementary school children -- was a member of the Women's Competitive Team of the Atlanta Track Club. The club's executive director -- Julia Emmons -- says Foell was an active member of the organization for years but had really blossomed as a runner in her 40s, winning numerous awards in her age group. Every night skate i keep telling the skaters the same thing, some listen, most don't. I don't understand the obsession with stealth exercise.
