 Posted: 11/23/02 - 10:14 Post subject: Yippee!! I made it!! VACATION at last!!
After several weeks of absolute hell at work, VERY long nights and tons of stress....I am outta there until December 2!! YEE HAH!!!!! I actually left pretty caught up too, considering I was there til 8:30 every night this week but Thursday (that was 10:00)  I did bring a laptop and some work home, but I get more done in two hours here than in 8 at work, and it's nothing I "have" to get done so if I do a little here and there that's OK. Thanks to all of you for your support over the last few weeks!! It really meant a lot!
It's a really nice day here in PA, windy as anything but the sun is shining as I sit in my office (at HOME!!) looking out the window, drinking my coffee and catching up on emails.....was up til 1AM painting last night, got almost the whole dining room done so I'll be able to finish that today and hopefully get the downstairs hallway and foyer done as well. The dryer's already going with load #1 and the carpet cleaner is ready to roll! Gonna be a productive weekend so I can relax next week and get ready for Turkey Day.
Ahhhhh.......life is good!!!  How are y'all doing this lovely Saturday morning???

Isn't it delightful to do chores around the house when you know you have days to play afterwards?! When I have to go back to work on Monday, weekend chores just seem to eat up all my time and then no reward after.
EDIT to say: did I say chores are delightful? hmm

Sahara, I feel the same way! Even if all I did all week was clean and paint and get ready for the holidays, this is "fun" work, if there is such a thing, so I know what you mean. It's nice to have the luxury time to get all this stuff that's been sitting around not getting done finished finally. I'm a real quantitative person, so I don't mind cleaning and painting and stuff like that because you can actually SEE what you've accomplished when you are done. I just finished the trim in the dining room and re-hung my pics, it looks awesome!! WHEEEEEE......... Off to clean the carpets......
My roomie is out helping his brother move today so I also have the whole place to myself.....
