Oh I hate to be the one who breaks this to you but...no. It was just torn down in the fall.  Astro world is one flattened large piece of very expensive real estate now. I used to go by it everyday though and it was interesting to see them dismantle everything. I think they shipped many of the parts to other 6 flags (it was a 6 flags park for a long time before it was torn down). But it was sad to watch. |
Last time I was there, I was 7. How sad.

Well, it had started to host a rougher crowd of kids, and they had declining attendance in the last few years. Considering where its located (rapidly expanding part of town), I don't think many people were surprised it was sold. But it was sad.

Well, I know you were joking, but I didn't know if Colin was interested in doing something fun. And if so, in Spring there is a place called Splashtown, it is (shockingly) a water park.... |
I figured we'd just revisit the "Holes" theme park.

I've never taken the children to any kind of amusement park. I want to, but with only one me and three of them, I worry too much that one will get away from me. One of these fine days I will be able to take them. Just need to get a few more years on the Jacob.
Glad you had such a great time! Nothing like bonding with the kidlet!
