And am proud about it.

While at CHOP today picking up some medicine for Abby, I saw a dad carrying around his 3 year old daughter. Her head was shaved, she had staples all over her head and was a cancer patient (brain cancer). She was excited because her dad bought her a balloon. Her dad was carrying her and listening to her as she was talking excitedly about her balloon.

I wanted to go shake the dudes hand and tell him about my "Abby rule" and how good he is doing.

I thought about him the whole way to work tonight and was crying for a good part of my way to work. I know exactly how it feels to carry your little girl around protecting her from all of the stuff in the world. Frustrated that he could not take the pain away and how great it must be just to hear her talk about a simple thing like a balloon.
