In 4 yrs and 11 months I'd probably jump at it if the job sounded interesting. Hopefully though, I'm not leaving this place until I have my points.

If I didn't have to move, and I didn't have to travel alot, I would definately consider it. (that's almost double what I make now!)

Totally depends on the job. If the job sucks, the extra 20k won't make a difference in the long run.

A lot of factors would have to be taken into account.

depends on a lot of factors.

Benefits would be the big issue. We get fantastic benefits through the police that makes Abby's care so much easier. Short of a great benefits package, the money means little to me.

Now my wife would probably jump in a heartbeat. Because she is kind of always looking for the next job anyway. That is the way the nursing field is and she has a lot of management experience so there are always director jobs popping up that she is getting called about.

As the question is posed: yes.

Additional factors may change my opinion on this.

No way!

I have the best job in the world. If I can stay here another 15, I'll retire a very happy man.

Hmmmm, come out of retirement? Nah, thank you very much.

It depends. Why are you working? Is it for the money? Well, sure it's for the money! I don't believe there's an independently wealthy member here...but I may be wrong.

All the other factors previously mentioned have to be taken into account. All things being the same, 20k extra would suit me fine. But would the potential job be the same or similar?

Ah, there's so much to consider but you wanted to know about the money. Hey, that's why I worked. I didn't drive the firetruck because I enjoyed the flashing lights and screaming sirens. I did it to make money. If that's what is important to you, take the job. If you're like some of us and money isn't the be-all, end-all, fugeddaboudit. I wouldn't have picked up and moved just to make more money. I was paid enough...or maybe it's, I lived within my means. I didn't aspire to a bigger house or a more expensive car every four/five years.

Figure out what you want.

Sweet! It just so happens that that's what I'm prepared to offer!
