You and I must have trick or treated in the same neighborhood. Pennies? What's up with that?
And don't even get me started on that orange and black wax paper wrapped crap. ugh. It was a happy halloween indeed when it was rumored that that was precisely the type of candy favored for hiding dangerous things. |
My dad liked the black and orange ones so he got all of mine for taking us out. except, while 'supervising' he would 'trick or beer'
Some people, if they were not going to be home that night, would leave a bowl of candy on the porch? Well of course the first kid who sees it dumps the whole thing in their bag (duh) but a few got smart and started leaving the orange and black candies and it was the strangest thing: No problems with running out of candy from then forward....

to the pennies. to the raisins...as a kid, i always loved getting the box of raisins. i suggested we give out raisins last year to which my husband replied.... and then
