I got more than one apple in my trick or treat bag and because my parents were paranoid that we'd surely chomp into a razor blade, it immediately went into the trash.

I was about eight and went to the home of one of the local youths - Kearnry, Jimbo, Dolph, Nelson - the name escapes me now. They would have you open your bag, and then before you know what happened, they'd crack open an egg and toss it in.

We had a dentist in our neighborhood...so, yeah, he actually gave out floss and would throw in some variety every other year and give toothbrushes.
My daughter got 2 pencils last year! LOL! She threw them aside and kept digging for her favorite candy.

My brother scooped up dogpoop off someone's yard and put it in my sack when I was 7. He got the hell beat right out of him.

one year, while we were waiting for the person to come to the door another trick or treater stole my friend's sack of goodies.

Took my nieces out T and T-ing last Sunday and to my dismay, some guy gave them little bags of 'Glazed Walnuts'...like something you'd get on a flight.
I had no choice but to KP him.

You and I must have trick or treated in the same neighborhood. Pennies? What's up with that?
And don't even get me started on that orange and black wax paper wrapped crap. ugh. It was a happy halloween indeed when it was rumored that that was precisely the type of candy favored for hiding dangerous things.
