I don't recall that we've had Good Friday off in the past, but we've got it off this year.

I took the day off, not even remembering it was Good Friday. I need a sleep-in day, so I'm taking one.

In the past it has been a holiday for us, but now they are having us work that day, but allowed us to use the holiday at our discretion

For those of you who have this as a company holiday, do you also have off for Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, or Passover? Why is Good Friday a holiday?

I gave it to them (& myself!) because it's a good excuse to get outta here for a day!

Working.
There's a wholllatah Matza going on...
I like my Jewish friends. It's actually a goal of mine to attend an authentic seder.

I will be working. It's likely that we'll get the okay to leave early but I usually use that time to catch up or organize.

The kids usually have Good Friday off, but since they have 5 days of school to make up due to snow, they're going to school tomorrow. Jacob however, is home since preschool does not observe Char-Meck make up days.

No, we do not get Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur or Passover. We get tomorrow because the NYSE is closed, it is not closed on the other holidays. Employees who observe those are able to take them. I can think of one person who does. except he uses it to go gambling in Louisiana...but I digress....
