I've worked the same schedule for the past 11 months. I've taken vacation maybe 5 days. Why do my "friends" still ask my why I am not at work on a Wednesday?

it must be a friend thing in general. my pool buddy usually has wed off and goes to the pool. while i dont have a set in stone schedule, i am expected to be in the lab in case something comes up. every sunday, she asks me if i have to work everyday that week.

I'm one of these "friends." The reason I can't remember has a lot to do with the fact that I'm not really paying attention to what you're saying.

See at my house it's different, this is a phone conversation hubby and I had last Thursday:
Hub: What are you doing?
Me: Working.
Hub: Waddaya mean working?
Me: I'm working(starting to get an attitude too apparently)
Hub: I thought you were off today??
Me: Well, I've had the same schedule for the past 10 yrs and I'm never off on this day.
Hub: What do you mean, you're always off Wednesday mornings.
Me: Ummmm, yeah I know, what's your point???
Hub: So who are you working for today???
Me: I'm at Rachaels cleaning her house like I have every Thursday morning for the past 10 years.
Hub: It's Thursday?????
Me: 
My friends on the other hand, know my schedule. Of course they are pretty good at knowing the days of the week too. That helps!
