Do NOT wear running tights the day after, and I am suspecting for quite some time. Just don't. It hurts when you have to peel them off the pierced area. A lot. More than the piercing itself.

I wasn't planning on getting that done any time soon but thanks for the warning.

Oh, come on. You know you want one. But to which were you referring? The piercing or the tights?

Edited to stay that at my age I have to work too hard at just keeping my belly button in the same general location it was 20 years ago. I don't really want to draw attention to it!

But if you've got it, flaunt it! Hope you enjoy it, Kristin!

New car, new house, new belly button... go Kristin! fubby

So did it hurt? What does one yell when a big pin goes through their tummy?

I'm pretty sure that she just got her old one pierced. Installing a new belly button would be quite a task. Wink

Had mine done 5 years ago today. Yep it hurts, a lot. And I yelled: OW!!

And Kristin, I would suggest staying away from jeans, too.

I think a good rule of thumb is to ALWAYS stay away from those, regardless of piercings.

Um, I, unfortunately, haven't had the opportunity to adorn myself with manties.

Actually, it was a quick sting. Didn't hurt that much getting it done at all. Rubbing it against lycra while running is a different story.

I don't know how big the needle was because I did not look. All I cared about was whther or not the needle and other accessories were sanitary (i.e. disposable and unopened), and they were. And the piercer (piercologist?) was really nice.

Same bellybutton, different accessories!

What sucks is I have to cover it with a patch when I go swimming because (as Mr. Pierce put it) "People are filthy pigs!" Shocked

Note to self...no jeans. Mine really didn't hurt except for a sharp 5 seconds. And then one brief ow. Maybe whatever solution he applied to the area first helped???

Congrats on your belly ring, Kristin! What type of ring did you get? And how long before you can change it?
I've had my belly button pierced for about 3 years now. I decided to do it because after 4 pregnancies I still had a belly button to pierce! LOL!
Mine didn't really hurt that much either. A little pinch and that was it. The guy who did mine has been piercing for many years-- there wasn't an inch on him that wasn't pierced! Confused He looked a little freaky but I figured anyone with that many piercing must know what he is doing!
For the first couple weeks I tried to avoid any high cut pants. I didn't cover mine when I went swimming but I did make sure I cleaned it the minute I got out of the pool. I was able to change the ring about 3 months after I had it pierced, which some say is a little early but it seem like it was healed and I really wanted to wear this cute butterfly I bought. Very Happy
