I've had my belly button pierced for about 3 years now. I decided to do it because after 4 pregnancies I still had a belly button to pierce! LOL!
Mine didn't really hurt that much either. A little pinch and that was it. The guy who did mine has been piercing for many years-- there wasn't an inch on him that wasn't pierced! He looked a little freaky but I figured anyone with that many piercing must know what he is doing!
For the first couple weeks I tried to avoid any high cut pants. I didn't cover mine when I went swimming but I did make sure I cleaned it the minute I got out of the pool. I was able to change the ring about 3 months after I had it pierced, which some say is a little early but it seem like it was healed and I really wanted to wear this cute butterfly I bought. |
I got a titanium hoop with an onyx ball. I will eventually get a half hoop with diamonds on both ends (it might have to be custom made but why not?) I think that would be very nice (and it's certainly an incentive to keep my tummy in shape!!) They told me 6 months to change it.

I have not ever taken mine out. It was a present to myself when I reached my goal weight, and it's really cool, it's 14c gold hoop/ball. I never really thought about changing it... although if I ever saw one with a dragonfly I'd be tempted...

I've thought about it before. I think it would be more hassle than it's worth. They are still cool tho.

I'm sure they're fine, but if you want 'em better, I've got a terrific ab workout without all that sit-up crap involved!

Well, the cleaning 2X a day is a bit of a hassle, and as it's still pretty red I cannot wear what I wanted to for dinner tonight. But it will be worth it by spring....
