I get to "get off the rock" (go to Ft. Lauderdale and get out of the islands) this weekend! We're leaving tonite after work and coming back Sunday. Some friends of ours are getting married Saturday on the beach!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

So, what's everyone else up to this weekend?

Tonight: errands, drive to northern NJ.

Friday: Manhattan bound as Mom gets open heart surgery. Current estimate of 10-12 hours in surgery, not including pre- or post-op.

Saturday: Spend day in Manhattan with family as Mom recups from open heart surgery. Packet pickup.

Sunday: NYCM, a race 18 years in the making. That is, if life allows me to get to the start.

13 miles here, though I'm sure it will be warmer than yours.

Orange, slowEST. Race #, according to my card, is 45250. I'll run in black, but will await race start in grey sweatshirt and white sweatpants. See if you can find me! Razz

I'm sorry. I hope everything goes well and that your mother has a speedy recovery.

Good luck to you and ginchy and all the other marathoners this weekend!

Kid: I hope the very best for your mom's surgery. I'd say I'll keep my fingers crossed, but in honor of her, I'll keep my finger flipped.
