Spectators were shocked today when the 3rd fatality occurred in the cross-road event in as many days.
Sam Squirrel, who fans will remember took the Gold in the 2001 Games, was close to the Yellow Line and almost home when a 2004 Jeep Liberty driven by Laur Kovacic creamed him into oblivion. Medics were useless as his lifeless body was taken away by the Chipmunk Squad.
Laur could not be reached for comment.

I got a groundhog earlier this year and had a deer debating the merits of risking it's life for greener grass on Monday. Fortunately for bambi and the front of my truck it decided to stay put until I passed.
