OK girlz what are some causes of irregular periods?? 2 of the past 3 months I've had mine twice. The only thing different is that I have been under a tremendous amount of stress, could this be it? I have also been exercising much more the past few months. I feel fine otherwise. Ideas, opinions?
Oh yeah, I am 43 ya know. JR says it could be the beginning of the end!
One more thing, boyz, I'm warnin' ya!

both the stress and exercise could be causing it.
sorry to say but i believe it's strictly hormonal and not necessarily due to perimenopause, but likely. if youve lost alot of weight or are exercising vigorously, i think your brain does not release some hormone that regulates menstruation...the signal gets messed up and it stops. anorexic girls will have this happen too...i'd see the doctor if it continues to "disappear"
anyway, if it's ongoing, i'd also start taking a calcium supplement - i take Cal-Max a liquid and it has held my bone density at a normal level after they had found a decline. all your exercise has your bones probably very dense so that's good. bone density is affected by the hormonal craziness too.

A few months ago I had dreams that two of my friends were pregnant. They were so real that when I saw them the next morning I had to ask them to make sure. Imagine their shock when I told them. They were both quick to assure me that it was only a dream.
