/Scold...you need to go every year and have a Pap smear done for cervical cancer.

You're 40 and due for a baseline mammogram too.

/end of scold.

Really, it is important to have these yearly checkups. If this was your best friend telling you these things, what would you say to her?

Yes mother. I'll call tomorrow. I had a mammogram 2 years ago and they told me my boobs were so small even the smallest of lumps would be easily detected. Embarassed

Thanks for all the advice everybody.

I can't believe you haven't been to the doctor in 3 years. You know better than that. It's probably your body playing tricks on you to force you to make a Dr. Appt!

I'm not going to scold you toooooo much. I'm on the every other year plan. I go every year for a physical....but when I get there, they say "well, we aren't going to do a pap this time and you don't need a mammogram every year". When I had the baseline mammogram, they said my tissue was so dense that I'd need to see a radiologist. so....I asked my doctor if I'm only have tests every other year, do I just pop in on the opposite year to say "hi"????
