is she a massage-type girl? i love getting them, just back and neck for starters. i swear, a 60 minute rubdown will do the trick. if she is a stay at home mom, i think she'd love this. along with a dinner out. when my kids were little and i was home, i loved dinners out. i lived for them.
what not to do: any household appliance, any slut-wear from VS. (you can always surprise her with the VS some other unexpected time--that is if you have the ca-hooonies to walk into the store and ask for help!)
hobby? a book about her hobby??

Got her the spa/massage thing last year. She doesn't like to cook. Hmm...she plays soccer, likes to go to movies, likes to shop (um, duh), I don't know. She's easy to please, as long as I don't spend too much money. She hates that.

You mean, that doesn't happen at your house every morning?

A really great gift is one that has thought put into it. Can you think of something that would make her life easier, or that she might really enjoy based on something else you know about her?
Also, the best presents are the ones you would never buy yourself. |
Great ideas, but just an addendum to "something that would make her life easier" you don't want to be something like a vacuum, you know? Unless thats what she specifically wants. |
Oooh, thanks, Cheryl. I thought it went without saying, but it's very good to point out anyway.
And NO WOMAN WANTS A VACUUM! |
Yeah, I think its a mars-venus thing, you know?
Woman thinks "Something to make life easier: spa day with massage and mimosa"
Man thinks "Something to make her life easier: wet/dry vac!!"
Or at least thats how my uncles apparently think!!

Well, then what about some soccer gear? Does she need any? Movies and a night out are always good, specially if she doesn't like to cook, a really swanky dinner is always good.
Quite frankly, one of the nicest gifts I got from my B/F was a whole weekend of fun; night at the Westin, ballet, dinner, bottle of White Star delivered to the room,. Then he made me lunch the next day (well OK he is pretty much a chef but he put so much effort into cooking what I like that I almost cried). That was a really fun weekend. WHat about something like that?

K, I think that's a good idea. She'd appreciate a night out more than anything. Even if it's just dinner and a movie. I'll have to hit the ILs up for a Mikey sleepover! I was thinking about some new indoor soccer shoes - she just started a new league yesterday - but she just bought some...
