I think powder foundation looks cakey, so I only use it on oily spots.
I prefer liquid that matches my skin tone since you can usally tell when it's darker.  It's looks funny when a girl has a pale neck and tan face.

yeah, wth's wrong with a few freckles....exactly what i asked the dermatologist i saw last week...well, my dear, they aren't freckles anymore, they're, well, age spots.

I"m glad freckles are hot because when it gets hot, I get freckley, not tan. 
I've realized as I get older, I get more and more annoyed by the feel of foundation and use just a bit of concealer and a very light dusting of powder. I haven't made the step of going without eyemakeup, blush, mascara and lipstick all the time. I just can't.
