Hourly. I don't know if i got hit or not. I'm guessing that my company would let us know if we were affected.

More federal legislation - the cure to all problems of American society. Sigh.

The correct question is "What is overtime pay?"

I haven't had the opportunity for OT for six years. I wouldn't know OT if it bit me in the butt.

it has a lot to do with nurse, police, fire, ems types. Comp time instead of overtime. I have not read the whole law, but I know I get lots of ot, and am not exempt.

After reading the article, i'm still not sure.

Rule 7: Employees whose main duties are computer-related and involve the implementation, analysis, development, or application of computer systems or designs are also not eligible for overtime.

Well, i work on a computer, and i think i apply a computer system to my area...

Hey PH,

Thanks for the article. Notice the url at the bottom for the Dept of Labor site--this is called the "Fair Pay" Policy. Kinda like the "Clean Skies Initiative" and the "Healthy Forest Initiative", eh?

My favorite:

Rule 6: Employees whose job requires imagination, invention, originality, or artistic or creative endeavors are not eligible for overtime.
