all the threads in On-Topic are about politics? Don't you people have anything else to discuss? Is politics THE conversation to have?

I see this as the debate forum. There are plenty of things to be debated, but most of them that are fairly serious in nature that don't attack others are politically related. But then, what in our lives isn't somehow affected by the government? What did you have in mind?

I would say off topic, but then the topic is off topic. What do I do?
Anyway, this isn't just about politics. Current affairs of any type go here.

politics just makes a more lively discussion.
This is a more serious forum and with the more strict rules I think it is a better place to discuss it.

I object!
I mean, we talk about law and courts and judges a fair amount, too.
