Sorry to disappoint, i'm not going to discuss the merits of that pastry sent from God Himself...
Every year or so, there's a new crop: the Spice Girls, Britney Spears, Christina Aguileira...
Every year, people are embarassed to admit that they liked last year's crop...
Yet every year, they buy into the next crop.
Why doesn't anybody learn?

Damn and I was going to ramble on about the two strawberry pop tarts I had Sunday morning before my run.
I can't stand the music, and I use that term loosely, put out by the tarts. But then I'm an old goat who'd rather listen to an aged Neil Young or Bruce Springsteen.

Well lets see--much like a pop tart, to some(men) people they are
Sweet
Full of "filling"
And they satisfy visual hunger

I'd really rather talk about the pastry-tasty kind. Are generic as good as
the real thing?
I think I'd rather listen to Santana or Billy Joel.

Because a well marketed set of curves will do wonders to wipe out a bad memory.

but remember who their audience is: mostly adolescents/pre-adolescents. boy bands are so popular with girls in that age group because of their feminine, thus safe, appearance. As the girls mature, they move on, but there is always a new crop and new audience. Teen idols have trouble growing beyond that image, mostly because the audience refuses to accept them as anything but the bubble gum pop star that they were. Plus we usually hate what we were as young teens, and our idols of that time remind us of that painful period.

I buy generic pop-tarts all the time. I think they taste just as good as the Kellogs.
I also find it creepy that these "teen idols" are in their 30's.

Because the general public has a very short attention span.
I like strawberry ones with frosting.

1 to both, although the s'mores ones run a close second!
Generic, depends on the store brand. Giant's Finast ones suck. Genuardi's are pretty good.
