You can buy a whole new printer for less than it costs to buy a black and color ink cartridge. WTF???!!

it's not the ink, it's the circuits on the cartridge. refilling is cheaper, but I seldom do it.

I have heard the quality isn't the same when you use those refill kits, how is everyones experience with these because I was thinking about trying one of those.

I have one of those high falutin' photo-printers. The ink cost is rediculous!

I had entertained the idea of getting a Continuous Ink System, wherein you can buy Archival Inks in bulk at better prices, but I have thought better of it with two toddlers around:

Me thinks little tanks of ink would prove very tempting to little hands...

Or you can buy a printer with disposable ink tanks. Ink is pretty cheap for my printer because the ink cartridges and print heads are separate items.

I think the printers are sold at a los, knowing that they have you roped into buy highly profitable cartiridges foreva. The places like staples must blow this stuff out the door. I know the mark up on this stuff is real high, so it makes up more than what they lose on computers and printers.
