Triathletes are yuppies.

I guess its the yuppie factor; everybody hates a yuppie and triathletes are by and large yuppie slime.

Note: I dream of being a triathlete one day. Anything written or posted by me in this thread is a joke.

Running itself is just not good enough for them. NoOoOoOoo. Gotta make swimming serious and wreck the fun of going to the pool. And then flaunt the expensiveness of the sport with their big ticket bicycles and accessories. NoOoOoOoo.. there's no settling for the inexpensiveness of a pair of running shoes and the cheapo $20 race; they've got to have races that cost $300 and membership in the elitest USAT, those snobish snoots. And don't forget the car racks for bicycles and the spendy shampoo to combat the chlorine and triathlon 'suits' and triathon sunglasses and triathlon energy bars. It's all a marketing hoax and they've been suckered.

Just lace up the shoes and run. Triathlons complicate it all. Razz

I don't think it's jealousy. Triathletes are seen as taking the easy way out; jack of all trades, master of none.

Mr. Green

Plus I'm secretly jealous of folks who have wetsuits and can swim.

I'm also joking as even Ph's duathalon's impress me, let alone someone who is willing to string together three challenging events and work hard at each.
