good question maybe little interest in seeing movies during the week
real interest on the weekends do not know
does not seem to make sense though
probably some old time tradition

i just looked on some recording industry sites
lots of news is released on tuesday may be it is the start of their week and they measure ratings for radios from tuesday to monday
i will keep looking

movies are put out on tuesdays (in stores).
i think cuz they get everything on monday and then have to make sure everything got there ok, and by the time everything is done it's ready for the shelves tuesday morning. so they just say it's released tuesday?
actually that and the fact that tuesdays aren't affected by holidays (it's never a day off/closed day - whereas fri/mon are).

What Blue said. It's just the industry standard. And actually, stores get the CD, movie, etc. days before it's due out on the shelves.
I knew that working at a Target would come in handy.
