Do you have a sump pump shelfie?
I can tell you how to make a sump and instal the pump if you need me to. It's not too bad. About a day.
The bigger problem is why you are getting the water in the first place.
E-mail me and I can tell you what to check for, and how to fix some of it.

Basements don't do so well in South Louisiana. If you're not on a big hill, the water table is only a few feet down.
So no, I didn't spend mine in the basement.

Nope. I spent mine with either a box, a roll of tape, a vacuum, a mop, a scrubby, or a paper towel in my hands.
Except of course for the very short time that Ranger was in my hands.

Yeah we have one...(but the fact that you could teach me how to 'make' one intrigues me)...
The damn palmer valve sticks (the plunger part)...so all the water from the tiles pretty much overflows into our basement. Luckily, no sewage follows..

My parents had been in Wisconson and came home to 8 inches of water in their basement. Better than it used to be before they had tons of work done. We used to be able to watch the ping pong table float by...

No basement here. If you had one, it would ALWAYS be flooded. Sorry about your situation, there, though. I understand it's been very wet (and I would gladly trade you a day of sun-drenched paradise for a day full of torrential rainstorms!)

Minimal seepage in the basement from one corner...will be taken care of once the rest is painted. I spent more time in the basement than desired thanks to tornado warnings.
When we got the house, we wondered, "Now, why in the world is this pump and line down here?" Soon, intrusive tree roots led us to take notice of our aged drainage and we had some work done in the yard to take care of it and fix our connection to the city main. At the same time, we had a cleanout and a thingy installed to keep the water from going the wrong way. We were informed that the bonus pump in the basement was for one of those occasions where the city sewer gets overwhelmed and the poo has its revenge and plays in the basements.
It's been monsoon season here, with last night bringing water over the curb and street manholes spewing water. Our poo-repulsion field worked!
Hooray for engineers and laborers!

No problems with that in Florida. They just don't build 'em with basements!. You could just turn it into an indoor pool and start training for a tri??
