For me it was Sister Sylvester, she was the coach of the year five school football (Australian) team.
I reckon she stood at least 6 foot 6 inches tall and hitching up her habit could drop kick the ball through the tractor tyre we had hanging on an old Morton Bay Fig tree from 25 meters. No kidding.
There was one draw back though..... if you made the football team, you had to sing in the school choir.
Good old Sister also taught boxing after a couple of us copped a belting behind play from the opposing schools football team.
What a woman!!! God love her!!! They don't make em like that anymore.

I cannot remember the ones from elementary school, but my first Jr. High teacher was Mrs. Hopkins. She was gorgeous. Great hair, pretty face, and slim as all get out. She gave me the nickname Brie (real name is Sabrina) and it stuck. She was also the cheerleading advisor and gymnastics coach. Very nice lady.
Sounds like S. Sylvester was one cool broad!

My first coach was freshman year of cross country, Mr. Buch. He was a decent runner but his wife was an accomplished marathoner back in those days.

My elementary school gym teacher was John Schneider. He was tall and lean and always wore those funky polyester shorts.
He was the one and only teacher to literally kick my @ss when I deserved it.
I owe my love of dodge ball to that man.

My first PE teacher was Ms. Ekern...she was nice
She was also my first real "coach" 5th and 6th basketball.
When I got into JH, I had a real coach, Mr. Erickson...He was the HS Head Football, Basketball, and Track Coach.
He liked me alot...I got to dress for some varsity football games in 7th grade, he talked to my parents about dressing for JV basketball, but I didn't since there were no other 7th graders, and I was the only 7th grader to run on the varsity track team that spring.
That was only for one year, though, then we moved to a bigger school, and I was just a normal 8th grader, I played all the sports, just didn't stand out so much...It was kinda fun being the "jock of the class" in 7th grade.

I don't remember his name but I see him clearly in my mind. He was mostly bald with a little white around the edges. He had a fabulous gym class, all the classics.... Rope climbing (I was the only girl who could/would go to the top), dodgeball, kickball, gymnastics with the horse/vaults, parallel bars. I loved gym class.

My first high school Phys ed teacher was an old guy named Mr Hartup. He's a nice, friendly, jovial guy and was really fair in marking us. He coaches the volleyball team at my high school
