I side with jen. Eff the gadgets, especially the ginormous Megaman style wrist gun that is the Garmin.

Why on earth would you bother Florida?
If you can't estimate the distance you run over a kilometer/mile within a couple of metres/yards with all the training you do, you should give the game away.

Save your money and buy yourself a new pair of shoes.

Better still....Why not buy yourself a T-shirt.

After almost 6 years of running I am still not good at estimating distances on my runs.

I just bought 3 new pairs of shoes

and it is to hot for t-shirts!!!

I just found it on buy.com for 99 bucks.

http://www.buy.com/retail/Product.asp?sku=90128089&SearchEngine=GoogleD&Type=GoogleD&Keyword=90128089&Category=Electronics&dcaid=17260

I guess I should order it before they change their minds.
