I used to refer to some of you as "these conservative freaks I know" but lately I've stopped being so pejorative. Now I just say "these freaks I know."
But I also use "those guys on my running board." (For those of you not from the Northeast, "those guys" or "you guys" or whatever guys is a gender-neutral phrase.)

i just say ' my running friends' or 'i am on an online running forum.' they all look at me funny. most of my friends wouldn't touch a computer with a 10 foot pole... so they think that everything you do in a forum is like online dating...
