I go through at least a dozen when they're still warm. I usually make about 4 dozen. What's the point in making them if you don't eat them?

Now you put me in the mood to make up a batch of the Ben and Jerry's Choc Chip cookies.

This is the recipe they use for the Choc Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream and for the cookies for their Chipwiches.

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup (1 Stick) butter.
1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Large Egg
1/2 Tsp Vanilla extract
1 Cup plus 2 Tbs of all purpose flour
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Cup Semisweet choc chips (You know you have to add more than this)
1/2 Cup coarsely chopped walnuts (You could ignore the nuts and make this choc chips)

1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Beat Butter and the two sugars in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add the egg and Vanilla extract and mix well
3. Mix flour, salt and baking soda in another bowl, add dry ingredients to the batter and mix until well blended, stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
4. Drop the dough by small scoops 2 - 3 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet (I use Pam spray). Flatten each scoop with the back of a spoon to about 3 inches diam.
5. Bake until the centers are slightly soft to the thouch 11 to 14 mins. Cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes then transfer to racks to cook completely.

Makes 12 - 15 cookies
