My co-worker tried to take a ridiculous right turn into a hotel going 40 miles per hour...Slams on the brake and we smash into the little 'island' between the driveways...
Cracked the oil pan, smoke everywhere....He just laughed it off. |
It's a rental, eh?

How many times do we have to remind you not to play Days of Thunder while on the job.

I've been hit a few times many years ago.
My wife has had about three accidents since we've been married. Her "best" was hitting the garage door from the inside.

Some asshat hit and ran my car yesterday at the bank while I was inside and screwed up my trunk. I am pissed, still. If I ever find them, they are going down. This is about the third time I've had someone hit my car and take off. This time they did some major damage to the trnk and I don't have the money to fix it or for a new car.
I've always said that if someone came forward about a matter like this, I wouldn't press charges, but if I catch this person, this time I am going to for certain. I AM MAD. It takes a LOT to get me mad, but this did it. ANd when I get mad, I get really, really MAD.

i think it was Febuary 14th 1989. Driving home from my daughter's cardiac surgery , she was 26 months old, i hit a patch of black ice in Topeka, Ks. slid across the interstate median in the oncoming traffic, managed to keep the car facing forward still and ran sideways into the gaurdrail, bounced off a little and had the back passenger quater pantel struck by a Jeep Cherokee. Totaled my Ford Tempo with less that 4000 miles on it.
no other accidents since that.

As I was headed to Stillwater on the interstate (75 mph), my front suspension suffered a complete failure. After control of my car was lost, I was sent over the center median into oncoming lanes of traffic (luckily nobody was coming) and back into my lanes before I regained control and was able to stop the vehicle.
Both driver side tires and rims needed to be replaced, the front axle was broken, and a whole slew of parts needed to be replaced. It took a month to repair. Since it wasn't covered under warranty I had to pay a $700 car rental bill because I don't have that coverage on my insurance double

Memorial day weekend, 2004. Was riding my motorcycle down the highway when a teenage girl pulled out in front of me. I almost got my bike stopped and thought I would get it stopped until my front tire locked up and my bike laid over. Then the bike slid into her car and I went behind it.
She never saw me. She just heard my tires squeal and felt the hit. She looked back and saw a motorcycle in the road and freaked out. I walked away from it. My motorcycle on the other hand was totaled. I rode it home, but that was about it.
Here's a lesson to be learned. Even if you are just bumped up, go to the ER. I couldn't claim any medical on my insurance. Even though I couldn't run for a few weeks and had some scrapes, I didn't get a penny.
