I have problem with my running shoes. They are no longer comfortable and I got a small blister yesterday. They used to be good, very good and we ran quite a few miles together. I don’t know how long one should keep the old shoes. When shoes have to be thrown away?

Many people have problems with their running shoes and ask the same question. I keep telling them that they should choose their shoes carefully. As for your shoes, they definitely should be replaced. Depending on their quality and other factors, running shoes should be replaced every 300 – 500 miles. My guess is that your shoes do have that mileage and they should retire.
