I had the same problem recently, but only with 1 friend....though, since i don't have many friends, that pretty much dropped most of my friends out of my life. I have since come to the conclusion that he's a dil-spank and if he doesn't want to be in my life.....f-him.

Ah the power of running and the internet.
Its funny but in the last five years since I started running I have found I've lost or losing contact with my friends who are non-runners, with the exception of one and we stay in constant touch.
I think we all go through cycles where values, ideals, directions and change cause friendships to grow apart, and in your case the people want to just drop contact without comment or reason is just plain rude.
I've been blessed to find some special people friends (both running and non-running in Canada) on this board and the Cool Running site.
In fact I got a call from Kristin31 while she was on the road Sunday PM driving down to Flordia just to catch up and chat and that's the power and true value of a good friend.
To you all I can say is ask but don't beg...if they don't want to keep in contact with you its their lost.
