I love car shopping. Wish I could make a living at it. I've used online ads like autotrader.com to find my last three vehicles.
Unless you have a phobia about buying used, getting a vehicle that's 3-4 years old with approx 30-40k of mileage can nearly cut the cost in half of what it would be new.
I'm also one of those guys that drives the $900 beater to work. I'll never make a monthly payment on a commuter again.

Hopefully I wont be buying a vehicle for about 2 more years. That is when the loan on my truck is paid off. I can't afford more payments. We just need to keep Mrs. Boilers car running until then.

many of you recall the "stupid car" saga over the summer. it is fixed (only cost me $45) and running well. so I am hoping to run it through the winter and move up to something else in the spring.
