I WISH....no, unfortunately you can only call me Master (remind me not to marry anyone named Bates ) but the PhD is next. AFTER a suitable break of a couple years I think. My brain is fried....and I need some time to decompress and just enjoy life again. Take cooking classes, fun stuff, get back into running again (running? did I ever do that?) things like that. Get to see the Philly Peeps more often....you know, things NORMAL people do with their non 9-5 time.
Pfff, waving licensure basically means that because I am graduating early and the APA regs changed as to your requirements for being eligible to sit for the LPC exam (Licensed Professional Counselor) that I will not be able to do that. The main benefit to that is being able to take insurance in private practice, which I really don't want to do anyway, and since I do eventually want to go on for the PhD I will have to get licensed at that level anyway, so it doesn't make sense to go through two processes. It's extra coursework, an exam and some other garbage so if I don't have to do it, I'm not gonna.
Thank you all for your well wishes....it's been a long road but I am SOOOO glad it's almost ovah!!!
Party in Philly.....Tto be announced, but we are definitely celebrating!
