The last few times we have brought Harry Potter on audio tape. The book was just interesting enough to break up the dryness of the drive.
I was hoping to find another book on tape. Any suggestions.
Anything is good. Except love stories. Muder mystery, horror, suspence are all good.

Koontz novels are out as well as King and Grisholm(sp). We have both read almost all of their books. Toss Clancy nto that, Lucy won't like it.

I like Jonathan Kellerman and his wife....I forget her name though. They do good mysteries, although I don't have any on tape.

Let me give you some hints
If Melvin took 9 1/2 hours driving 60mph, how long would it take Melvin if he drove 120mpw?
eh? makes you think
doesn't it?
another tip
the shortest point between two points is a straight line,
get it?
now cut out the pit stops(if ya know what I meen)
there you have it, a 9 1/2 hour drive in less than 3 hours
i can clean up in vegas using this strattegy.
and if you get sick of Van Halen, you can always listen to either America or Bob Dylan

No suggestions but a prediction.
You're driving from mid-Florida to way up the panhandle? I predict you will have at least one meal at a restaurant called 'Waffle House.'

Nope, from SOUTH Florida to the panhandle. And my first Waffle House meal will be Thursday morning. Something about them waffles.
I buy 4 plain waffles and a glass of tomato juice and then eat them with my hands.

Hehe. We called it "The Awful House" but still ate there on the move down here. They have surprisingly good french fries.
Edited to add that I've never bought a book on tape, so I can't help you out. There was a good freaky book out by Greg Lies, but I forget the name of it. I'm of no help, I know.

We love Craker Barrel, although I always call it Country Barrel. WTFever I guess. We stop for breakfast there every single road trip, usually by 9am. We are early leavers, usually out the door by 5am.
