Anyone out there? What are your plans? Me...I will be home tonight with parents and nephew in a bummed out mood seeing me and the BF broke up on Friday because we aren't on the same page in our 4+ year relationship. But in 2004 it is all about me! (sorry if this post turned into a pity party)
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!! GOD BLESS AND BE SAFE!!!

Just hanging out at the house. The boys wanted to watch the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. They watched Raiders last week and decided they want to have an movie watching New Year's Eve.
So I will be doing that, and some Riff Raffing. Who knows? I might get the first post of 2004. Yeah, my life is that exciting .

sorry about the breakup, and not because it is necessarily a bad thing, but because I'm sure it hurts. Four years is a good investment, but you've probably learned from this relationship. I hope 2004 is a better year for you.
Tonite it's just me and the kids because there are quite a few events at the hotel that hubby must oversee. Good times having 1500+ drunks running around the hotel. So we'll all try to stay awake, and I'm even going to set the alarm for 1145 ish so if I am asleep, I'll get to see the ball drop. Then throw the bubbly on some ice and wait for hubby to get home so we can toast the new year.
Happy New Year to all!

Leaving shortly for a small party at friends house. Our church is having a New Years Eve service at 11pm. I seriously doubt I can stay up that late. That's how exciting I am. (and I've been up since 5am) If I had my choice, I'd be staying at home with the dogs, watching the tube, and in bed by 9pm.

Watching some fireworks right now. The town I live in has a New Years Eve celebration in the Center of Town. I can see the fireworks right out the window....great view. They had some earlier at 6:45 for the kids....my nephew loved them.

We all went out to Applebees then to the movie Cheaper by the Dozen (see my review)
Kids are going to bed, time to crack open a bottle of bubbly, and get out the whipped cream

Lickity, so sorry to hear about your breakup. Four years is a long time to invest all that emotion and time... but you've got a great attitude going into 2004....you go girl! We'll be here for ya!!!
Sounds like everyone's havin' a chillin' night, we're in for the night too. Just came back from a friend's house around the corner who had some real fireworks, the good kind, smuggled up from down south but the roomie has been sick for a week and I'm kinda coughy too, so downtime it is from here. Been a long, often tough 2003 and I'm ready to kiss it goodbye and look ahead, although I have a strange sense of peace being here quiet right now. No looking back, folks....it's all forward motion from here! Hoping I can stay awake long enough to go out for a short midnight run in the hood....if not, I'll run longer tomorrow morning.
HAPPY NEW YEAR, RIFF RAFFERS! Hope the new year brings all of us good health, peace and happiness......

Had a blast at Happy's last night! He had "Happy New Year" hats and tiaras, party poppers (don't worry we got the safety lecture prior to any popping of the poppers), and fab food! We almost missed the ball dropping because we were having too much fun playing Cranium.
