I found a CD once that was totally scratched EXCEPT for the track that had Under Pressure by Bowie and Queen.
I still have it..just for that track.
Last long run, I found baby turtles living it up in a puddle...a pair of socks...and several Foster's cans. Apparently, Foster's is also Australian for "can't find a f**king trash can."

Mostly dead (or extremely sleepy) skunks and possums
I run in the dark so I may be missing a lot

Wildlife (dead or alive) seems to be my biggest find. Along with a racing heart, 'cause sometimes we scare each other.

Crack Pipe (you know I took that one home ) and some needles. I told my husband it may be time to consider a move. (actually, the road ends, and it's in the country somewhat, so it's a great place since no ones around)
I've found those strange rubber balloon things you all speak of too. Someone is far too cheap to get a hotel room.

I was running in the park early one morning, when I saw something out of the corner of my eye bouncing alongside of me. I thought it was a small dog, and I stopped to take a look. It was a wet ugly rat. I swear it was reading my thoughts. I ran like hell to my apartment and took a shower. UNCLEAN! UNCLEAN!!!

Because I only found it the day I finally beat the 60 year old lady with the artificial hip.

I see copper scrub pads on the side of the road and wonder who's been out smoking crack.

Why do I feel like I've missed out on so much when I run now?

Open your eyes and look around when you run. That's the most interesting part about running outside.

I guess it would help if I ran outside more, yes?
I guess my running outside days were soooo long ago. I just can't remember.

An entire "camp", if you will, of homeless people along the woods/construction site by the river when the construction of a new freeway extender was in progress. They had a dog, a fire, tents, and were doing laundry in a tub. The dog ran up to me and one of the guys came out onto the trail to get it and then tried to sell me the dog!!
