It has been SO nice being home this past week, I have been cooking up a storm! WHEEEEE!!!!! It's good therapy after weeks of eating either crap or nothing with working so late.
For New Years Day, we are having:
Shrimp Bisque
Peppercorn-crusted tenderloin
Garlic mashed potatoes (REAL ones!)
Roasted Asparagus and whatever other veggie I can sneak in
Fresh baked rolls of some sort, not sure yet
Homemade orange sorbet at my roomie's request
Right now I am making ham stock from the ham I made the other day, to be used for either ham/potato soup or bean soup. This ROCKS!!!

I am actually going all out this year! Last year we did pizza and a movie and
had a ball. This year we're having:
Grilled Steak
Simple Garden Salad
Corn on the Cob
Twice baked potatoes
Homemade Blue Cheese Bread
A homemade Banana Split Cake
Sounds like fun!
BTW--what's your Grad program?

Yum!! That sounds really tasty...memories of summer!! That banana split cake sounds awesome....I think I'd like to try that.
The grad program is a combo Master's/Doctoral program in Clinical Psychology. Maybe I should give that up and go to chef school instead....hehehehe
I already have a beef burgundy recipe on deck for next weekend!

You're definitely invited! Please bring extra scissors so my son can "Runwithscissors", too!

Sigh.
Work has a special NE Eve party that I'm going to (James Bond Tux)
so I'm getting off early on Tue to go to the gyn with the PT.
After that who knows but I have a track workout come Wed like it or not.

No big dinner plans, hanging at home with the kids. May do my top secret super special Lasagna though.

I don't know yet. I know for sure, not goose again! (But we may make something with the goose stock).
We'll probably end up doing 2 different things; I know it's a tradition to eat pork but that ain't happening on my end. Perhaps a nice seafood paella.
