Someone came over for a cough drop and their eyes bugged out when they saw the contents of my top desk drawer. It has only cough drops, Altoids, a few toys, makeup bag of girlie stuff, and food. Tons of food. Almonds. Beef jerky. Clif bars. Luna bars. Granola bars. It's Lauri's Carb & Protein Emporium.
So what's in your desk drawer?

Aspirin, frosted mini-wheats, loads of old files and manuals, loads of writing utensils, calculator, some tools, about 1500 business cards in a very disorganized array (well, maybe not 1500), scissors, pretty darn standard mess I'd say.

I used to have a stuffed Alf defending my office area. He stayed behind when I changed buildings though and is continuing to defend that office.

Everything that was on the top of my desk until I decided to clean up and swept into my drawer.

I used to have a Batman action figure that watched everything in my classroom( as well as my students if I had to leave the room).
However, 5 yo son (then 4) decided that Dad didn't need a bat man, and so he took him home.

Just 1 drawer or all of them? Main drawer mainly office stuff. I've got a cabinet full of canned goods and snacks. It's my work pantry. In my other cabinet I have books and magazines. Finally 3 more drawers with phone books, asprin, change, junk.

They're all depleted from previous D & B visits. Sorry.

Altoids, gum, lifesavers, a bunch of those miso with tofu and hot and sour soups for when I don't have time to get real food that's edible, neosporin, band-aid cleaner/antibacterial (I had issues with a piercing that are finally going away), bandaids, mouthwash, toothbrush/paste, half a roll of quarters, playing cards from Absolut, a set of dice from Absolut (one die has different types of vodka, one has different drinks, you roll them to get a match like "Absolut Mandarin martini") one cardigan, a golf windbreaker (I'm always cold), two pairs of hose, one black, one sheer, a condom (I don't know WHY that's in there, I really don't, and it's moving now), some pens, a slew of multi-colored post-its, one half empty albuterol inhaler, Advil, some fireballs, and blowpops.

I'll just pick one:
-4 flavors of Nature Valley granola bars, 5 flavors of crystal light mix, a foam mini football, a big bag of prevacid sample packs, bag of honey and wheat braided twists, and a copy of Rober B. Parker's Walking Shadow.

My top drawer is full of little dollar store thingies that I give out as a prize if anybody does something particularly wonderful. I've got:
huge metallic dinosaur stickers
little plastic helicopter thingies that really fly
super bouncy balls
glitter pens
little girlie lip gels
I think the hubby gets in here and plays on the weekend, because I used to have way more cool stuff.
