Posted: 05/19/03 - 12:17 Post subject: What's The Most Expensive Vehicle You Have Driven?
I took my mom's Mercedes 500 SL out for a spin yesterday. Sharp Car. I think that is like a 75K car when new.
Our ambulances are well over 125K, so that would have to be the most expensive I have ever driven.

Nuttin' good....probably my mom's pimped out souped up chrysler minivan when brand new (please, no celine jokes). Or my friend's mom's Merkur Scorpio...I don't know a price tag on that but it didn't seem cheap.

A M109A 155mm self propelled howitzer. Not sure how much it costs but definately more than my '73 duster did at the time. Plus I didn't have to worry about denting it, you should see the trees you can drive over with those things.

In high school I dated a real richie who loved cars, so I would routinely "borrow" his Ferrari, Porsche, and Maserati.

My dad's 1987 Ford F150 when he bought it new. I've never paid more than $5k for a vehicle myself.

Some guy was trying to buy my dad's business back in the 80's and he had a ton of cars. I got to drive a Rolls, Limo and a car that the Eastman's(Kodak-Eastman) once owned.
Another time when I was doing a job at Disney we were offered a Jag for only a $10/ day ungrade as a rental, so we took it as a hoot.
3 spring rolls please!

I'm a faithful student of the RobP school of cheap trucks.

Parked cars at a country club when I was a teen. Drove lots of Rolls, ferrari's Lamberghini's, Porche's and a classic vet, you name it.
BMW's were the most fun to drive though.

Better to drive the hearse than ride in it, eh?
You can actually drive the Lexus some time when you aren't quite as sweaty. It is a supah fun car to drive.

When I was married we had a Mercedes 300SD. I didn't keep it (and I hated it anyway; it was like a tank). Probably from test driving; a Mercedes 560 (I think, the little older convertibles?), or every so often when I go to get my oil changed I'll test drive the schmancy newer Acuras. The 3.2 fully loaded and the SUV are pretty nice.
Certainly NOT the 1979 Fiat which is sitting in our carport now...
