I keep hearing about those Heart Rate Zones and training according to it. Some others point out that you should increase your speed at certain Heart Rate point. How can increase my speed without increasing my Heart Rate? It seems impossible to do. What is your speed at 60% Heart Rate max?

We are talking about two relative measures here. Your max heart rate is determined by your age, level of fitness and general health status. Speed relative to your say, 60% max heart rate is depending on your level of fitness, strength and stamina. Rule of a thumb. The more power you have and the better form you are in, the faster you will cycle at desired heart rate (in this case 60% of your max). So you can actually increase your speed without increasing the heart rate but not in a matter of days or even weeks. It takes several months of smart training to increase your power and overall fitness in order to be able to cycle at higher speed while keeping your heart rate at 60% of your max.
