I am new to cycling. I have managed to improve my speed and endurance. However I heard of cadence. Some people suggest that I have to pay attention to it while the others claim that the power is the most important. I am confused. What is more important: power or cadence?

What is more important; your arms or your legs? It is that kind of question. You need both of them. The same goes for the cadence and power. They are two different aspects of cycling. You need to pay attention to both of them. You need power to be able to sprint and ride uphill. On the other hand you have to pay attention to cadence in order to make the most of your power, strength and endurance
