All of a sudden the forum is getting political.
Probably my fault for starting the "chemical weapons found in Iraq" thread. If so, my bad. Didn't mean to start anything.
Everyone is entitled to their own thoughts/opinions/beliefs.
I am just reminded of something wise I was once told:
Never talk religion or politics with in-laws.
I am stretching that to include message boards.

Yeah, we're sorta like in laws, in an out law sorta way....
I was starting to break out in hives, getting CH flashbacks....but it's passed. I refuse to waste my time and energy on any more idiotic debates. No one's POV is going to change, so what's the point in getting aggravated?
PH, WHERE are our new smilies!!!!!!!! I just went to get pizza and it isn't there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although I occasionally feel the need to be understood. I counter any impulse to enter into the fray by realizing that those with opposing views don't have the capability to understand!
I didn't see the locked thread, post-lock that is... have to go investigate to see what pushed it over the edge.

I don't know what beef your in-laws have with message boards, but if it bothers them I wouldn't discuss them either.
My in-laws were never too fond of discussing sex. So, I don't talk politics, religion or sex with my in-laws.

You talk about S-E-X with your in-laws? I'd rather eat a light bulb.

In my home, very Spanish, we openly discussed and joked about sex. I remember one time telling my mom a particularly "colorful" joke about a certain religion only to find the guy behind us--a leader of said religion--spoke spanish and was not amused. She thought the joke rocked.
Who knew these guys went to amusement parks?
Anyhow, my in-laws are very uptight and propah and frown on jokes like that.

That's right, I used it in conjunction with the home-made pipe I found along with one of the millions of lighters I've found along the side of the road.
