I keep hearing about so called Run-Walk events. My friend is talking about it all the time. He participated in many such events. In fact I was asked to join one. I am not sure what they are and who can participate. Can you tell me something about it.? What does 5k Run-Walk mean?

Run-Walk events are usually races where everybody is invited. They are usually organized for some purpose such as charity donations or fight against breast cancer and so on. Everyone can participate and they can run or walk. It is not so important to win as is to take part in such event. There are usually some festivities afterwards and some funds are being raised for the main purpose (fight against cancer, etc.)
