We see both the winter and summer games adding new "sports" every year. What do you think will be the next sport added or should be added.

I am (genuinely) stunned that they have not tried to make golf an Olympic sport. It was in some of the early modern Olympics, I think (pre- WWI).
Aside from that, what's the matter with frisbee?

Nice call, though it may be a tougher sell with the tri already in there.
Anyone want to explain what exactly the pentathalon is?

Competitors earn points for their performances in each of the five disciplines: pistol shooting, epee fencing, swimming, riding (equestrian show jumping) and cross-country running (3000 meters)

Anyone want to explain what exactly the pentathalon is? | It was originally set up to demonstrate the five skills needed by a military person at the time of the first modern Games: Swimming, fencing, shooting, running, and equestrian.
Actually, one of the competitors in this in the 1912 games was some American guy name George Patton, who came in fifth. He did something of note afterward.

I am okay with events that have a military or historical place in the olympics, even though I may not think they are sports. Equestrian, shooting, archery, sailing. They fit into the more traditional events like the original olympics.
I know bridge was a demostration sport at the 2002 olympics. In theory the gold medal winner of bridge would have to submit to drug testing.
I know Muscle and Fitness magazine has been pushing body building as an event.
Great another event that has to be judged.

I saw that the games had 1500 m in wheelchair, I assume for a demonstration. I thought this was already in the Paralympic Games (held about a month after the Olympics, and in the same city) - other than maybe for publicizing said Paralympics, why would they have this now?
