Just curious to find out what you do with old race numbers. I just got into the habit of pasting them up in my room... If I keep this going for a number of years, the walls of my room will probably be covered with race numbers...

I throw out the numbers, but keep the lucky safety pins. Go figure.

I have every race number since I started racing again in 1990. I threw out all of my high school ones.

I even have all my numbers sorted by race and year, so I have a chronological order of my races.

Over this way we have only one number (Registration No.) which you retain for all races, Summer and Winter seasons.
I don't collect them, however I do find it hard to throw them out at the end of the season.

I try and keep them all and I hang each one up from the previous one, but I ran out of room this year on the door I was using in the garage so I have to find a new place to hang them.

I hung them up in my basement. I even kept the shoes that I ran in for special races. (My last Broad Street, PDR, Marathon)

I keep them in a binder, with the results, and a little race report.

Tack them all up on my bulliten board at work in one big unorganized blob.

I like MW's idea of sticking them in a binder with the results.

Right now they're all in a pile somewhere. I'll try to put them up somewhere when I figure out where.

I tend to keep most of my numbers in a box with my racing paraphenalia but last year I was "1" at the Chickamauga Marathon. I have no idea how I got that number, but that one I'm framing. Smile

I secure them all together with one giant safety pin (with the latest race number at the front). I then clip this collection of race numbers to my fridge with a large magnet as a reminder. I also write the race name, time, distance on the back of each number.
